Hello and welcome to Jambon Images; a site of (mainly) lo-fi photography by me, Jamie Worsfold. The majority of these pictures were taken on my trusty Holga or a Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim. Nice, lo-fi cameras with plastic lenses. Nothing else that most self-respecting photographers would expect like control over aperture or exposure… I’ve been shooting random stuff on these cheap plastic cameras for a while now. Firstly, I had got bored of shooting on digital and instantly being able to see if I’ve got a decent shot or not. I find it far more enjoyable getting my rolls of film back and seeing what happy accidents have befallen my original vision... is it in focus? Have I got any lens flares or odd light leaks...? Is there even an image at all!? The excitement of ripping open my freshly developed films seems to be bringing out the inner child in me. Secondly, my day job is as a TV editor. I spend the vast majority of my time looking at perfectly shot material which has to be spot-on with its quality for broadcast. So I felt like grunging things up a bit in my spare time. Although I mostly shoot on plastic cameras, I have also been recently getting back into 'proper' cameras. So there are some shots using SLRs, box cameras and pinholes. All pictures on this site were shot on film with very little post production. Basically, the only rule I have is, "Could I do this in a darkroom?" So what you see is what comes out of the camera with maybe a slight tweak of contrast here and there. So, enjoy having a look around. And do shoot me an email here if you're a band wanting to commission me! | ||
